The End of an Era as PJ Slattery Retires.

990

It is truly the end of an era here at Tipp Mid-West Radio as our longest serving presenter, Mr. PJ Slattery, has decided to hang up his earphones and officially retire from broadcasting.

PJ has been part of the fabric of this station for over 38 years, beginning way back in 1981, when the station was known as “TCR”. Ever since, he has presented various programmes through the decades and has seen great change, as the station became “Tipp Mid-West Radio” in 1990 and then received a community broadcasting licence in 2004.

Having spent much of his life working at Limerick Junction Railway Station, PJ shared his life with a loving wife and family and was always dedicated to his role here at the station. Most recently, he had been presenting “PJ The DJ” each Saturday afternoon.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank PJ for his excellent lifetime of dedication to Tipp Mid-West Radio and wish him many happy years in his retirement. Best wishes, from all @ Tipp Mid-West Radio.
