Live Streaming FAQ

Here are some Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) about our live audio stream and troubleshooting if you are experiencing difficulties listening to our web stream.

Can I listen using Apple AirPlay? Yes, our Radioplayer supports AirPlay if you are listening on an Apple device and have a compatible Airplay receiver e.g. Apple TV

  1. Click on the Airplay icon on the Radioplayer to the right of the volume control
  2. Select the device that you wish to Airplay to.

Can I listen using Chromcast? Yes, our Radioplayer supports Chromecast.

  1. Navigate to the Chrome Settings menu in the Chrome toolbar in the upper right corner of your browser > click “Cast..”.
  2. Next to the where it says, Cast to …, you’ll see a small dropdown. …
  3. Click Cast desktop.
  4. Choose the Chromecast device you want to cast to.

Can I connect to my car radio using Bluetooth? Yes, our Radioplayer can send audio over Bluetooth to your car stereo. Make sure you have Bluetooth switched on for both devices, open our Radioplayer and press play. Please note we do not offer any technical support for Bluetooth pairing.

Common issues not allowing you to access the stream:

No Internet Connection: The radio stream requires an active internet connection. Please check that you are connected to the Internet.

Software: We stream in MP3 format. Please check that you have suitable software installed on your computer. The stream will play in most media players and we recommend VLC Media Player (Free) as it’s plays anything and works on almost all devices.

Nothing Happens (no pop up appears): Our radio player appears in a pop-up window after you click on the ‘Listen Live’ button. If you have a Java Pop Up blocker installing and running on your computer disable it or access our Radioplayer directly by clicking here.

No audio: Check if you can receive and play other audio streams. You may need to adjust the audio on your computer and/or the player.

Firewall: A firewall may prevent access to our live stream. If your system is behind a firewall, please contact your network administrator to open up your firewall to allow your system to access this stream.

Linux Users: Please check that you have the correct plug-ins for your system.

Random Hiccups: Given the complexity of the Internet it’s not unusual for short-lived problems to crop from time to time. Try reconnecting to the stream after a period of time; you might find that the issue is temporary. However, if the issue recurs and you can reproduce it consistently then it’s worth following up.
