A Tipperary county councillor has today said that it is her view that the only answer to the bottle bank issue at Bank Place in Tipperary town is to locate it elsewhere.
Earlier this week, Cllr Mary Hannah Hourigan said that locating the bottle bank so close to local businesses and households was unacceptable.
She was told that the matter is now the responsibility of the local authority’s Environment section. Speaking to Tipperary Mid West Radio this morning she said that she is waiting for contact from the council on the matter, but believes the facility must be moved elsewhere.
