Three Tipperary Projects To Benefit From Funding Under The Town & Village Renewal Scheme

Three projects in County Tipperary are to benefit from an allocation of €921,099 announced today under the Town and Village Renewal Scheme.

Cashel is allocated €495,000 for the development of a high quality Town Park and public amenity to include bound gravel walkways, a boardwalk, reinforced grass paths, landscaping, natural play elements, fencing, seating and signage.  The park is to be developed on lands adjacent to the Camus Road extending towards the Rock of Cashel. The boardwalk will provide a viewing point to observe West Tipperary.

Tipperary Town is allocated €250,000 for the refurbishment and provision of universal access including mother & baby facilities at the public toilets in Market Yard, Tipperary town. This will also include facilities for walkers and cyclists expected to be using the new and proposed walkways in the town.

Carrig Village near Borrisokane is to receive €176,099 towards the Development of Carrig Village Community Recreation Park and Wildlife Haven together with a pedestrian access bridge over the local river.
