Tipperary Minor Camogie Team Win The Minor All Ireland Against Waterford

Tipperary Minor Camogie team emerged victorious on Saturday winning the Minor All Ireland defeating Waterford on a scoreline of Tipperary 2-9  Waterford 0-10 . The game was played in UPMC Nowlan Park Kilkenny with Sarah Corcoran, Moycarkey Borris accepting  the trophy as Captain.  It was a first Minor all Ireland title for Tipperary since 2006.

Tipperary Senior hurling team lost to Limerick in their first match of the round robin series of the Munster Championships  on a score line of  Limerick 2 27 to 18 points for Tipperary.

The Limerick win was marred by a serious leg injury sustained by Peter Casey after a collision with Ronan Maher. Play stopped immediately with the Tipperary players going to comfort the injured Limerick man who was later awarded the Man of the Match award.

Tipperary will now face Waterford in the next round of the Munster Championship on Saturday at Walsh Park, Waterford with a 6pm throw in.
