The N24 Waterford to Cahir Road upgrade project was raised in the Dail yesterday (Wednesday) by Deputy Mattie McGrath as he asked the Minister for Transport Eamon Ryan to meet with all the Oireachtas Members for the South East.

The public representatives are concerned about the lack of a funding allocation to continue future designs for the route.

In a brief exchange, the Minister said he looked forward to such a meeting.

Meanwhile Tipperary County Council have advised of a decision to close the N24 road at Lower Ballylynch near Carrick-On-Suir for urgent repair and resurfacing works in the interest of public safety.

The intention is to close the road on the evening of Friday, February 25th for overnight works.

Traffic flow is to be managed via a series of alternative routes around Carrick On Suir via Fiddown.

The works are scheduled to start at 7pm on Friday, February 25th and conclude at 7am on Saturday, February 26th.
