People who may find themselves in need of provisions are being reminded that the helpline run by the County Council will be open throughout the Bank Holiday weekend.

That number is 0761 06 5000 and will be manned by staff between 8am and 8pm daily.

People who are isolated or cocooning, and those who are vulnerable, are also being asked not to be afraid to reach for the phone and contact neighbours and friends or community and voluntary groups.

Many shops and pharmacies will also deliver items should you need them to. Again, if you need to find a service that will assist you, contact the helpline on 0761 06 5000.

Tipperary County Council’s Covid-19 Community response which acts to coordinate these services is also appealing to shops and pharmacies and other retail outlets that are providing delivery services to register with them by contacting the same number.

This will help to compile a database for an interactive map of services due to be rolled out next week.

Cashel and District Social Services can also be contacted on 062 61395.
