The Department of Education has announced that this year’s Leaving Certificate examinations have been postponed until July or August.
The Junior Certificate exams have been cancelled and will instead be replaced by what is described as school-based assessments and exams.
The latter will take place early in the forthcoming academic year.
Details on the Leaving Certificate meanwhile, will be further outlined in early June, when there is more clarity on the current situation.
