As the Christmas shopping season officially gets underway today, shoppers are being asked to keep their shopping Irish local.
On a national scale the Irish Small and Medium Enterprise Association is encouraging customers to support the Irish economy this festive season.
Meanwhile on a more local scale, Tipperary town’s Chamber of Commerce is involved in a number of schemes to promote the town and has teamed up with the county council to entice shoppers into the centre of town with a free parking initiative.
From this Saturday there will be free parking throughout the town until the close of business on Sun December 28th
