Four people have been arrested after two gardaí investigating burglaries in Tipperary and Cork were injured when their car was rammed in an incident near Portlaoise today.
The gardaí concerned had been involved in an attempt to stop a car after reports of burglaries in Tipperary and Cork.
The collision occurred just outside Mountrath.
