Work is underway to refurbish the Marian Park in Tipperary town. Storms damaged some of the trees on the northern boundary and some of the surviving trees were deemed to be unsafe. All of the trees have now been removed in collaboration with the adjacent property owner.
A new fence is being installed and it is intended to plant some trees, shrubs and plants to create a new sustainable boundary in the Park which is located opposite St Michael’s Church.
Parish Priest Fr. Eugene Everard says it will be next year before all of the replacement planting is completed.
