Gardai in Cahir are investigating a fatal road traffic collision which happened Mon evening on the M8 at Junction 10 Cahir.
At around 6.10pm an articulated lorry travelling northbound left the motorway and collided withan embankment before coming to a stop in a field.
The driver a 32 year old man was pronounced dead at the scene. His body was taken to South Tipperary General Hospital Clonmel, for a post-mortem examination .
No other vehicle was involved in the collision.
