Road conditions this morning are wet with possible areas of spot flooding as a Status Yellow – Snow/ Ice warning for Tipperary and several other counties remains in place until 1pm today.

Met Eireann is forecasting sleet and snow for a time that may cause poor visibility, hazardous travelling conditions and ice on untreated surfaces.

Engineers from Tipperary County council are expected to take action to alleviate flooding on the road from Donohill/Cappawhite to Tipperary town according to Cllr Mary Hanna Hourigan with the work possibly starting today.

Concerns had been raised that the road was a safety hazard at times of wet weather and that the issue could be easily resolved by clearing some overgrowth and soil accumulations.
