People in Co. Tipperary are being reminded about the importance of giving blood.
This week there’s a clinic in Scout Hall Nenagh and in South Tipperary next month there will be clinics in Ballykisteen Hotel outside Tipperary Town on January 2 to 4th inclusive.
While in Cahir donors will be able to give blood on January 15th and in Cashel on the following day.
The Irish Blood Transfusion service says there has been a 6% increase in demand from hospitals in 2023 but that hospitals may be unable to proceed with some planned care if stocks are not sufficient.
The Irish Blood Transfusion Service is urging regular donors to respond when they receive a text alert and to make an appointment to make a donation.
