Thurles Lions Trust Housing Association work has been recognised after winning two national awards.
The association won in the categories for “Best Regeneration Project” and the overall “People’s Choice Award” for the The Stanwix Village development in Thurles
CEO John McCormack says the development is now home to 20 people.
Mr McCormack says plans are also being advanced for Phase 2 which will be located on the two derelict sites adjacent to The Stanwix Village.
Thurles Lions Trust will also shortly appoint a Design Team to advance the detailed design. planning approval and construction of 6 apartments on a derelict site located on Croke Street, Thurles.
The company is prioritised the re-use of derelict sites for housing purposes thus assisting in the regeneration of the streets of the town
