Garda in Cahir are investigating the theft of diesel from Rockwell Rovers GAA club. The theft occurred on Saturday September 2nd and some of the Club Property was also damaged in the incident. The club grounds are centrally located in New Inn village and Garda are asking anyone that may have been in the vicinity of Rockwell Rovers and may have seen anything suspicious over the weekend to contact Cahir Garda on 052 744 5630.
The club are undertaking a review of security in an effort to prevent a recurrence. Fundraising is underway to help expand the club facilities including providing a walkway and all weather pitch with lighting and club leadership are anxious that no further damage or loss is caused as it works to serve juveniles and adults in the New Inn Knockgraffon parish.
