Several Events Planned To Encourage More Females To Enjoy The Benefits Of Outdoor Physical Activities

A number of events are being planned in county Tipperary to celebrate and encourage more females to enjoy the benefits of outdoor physical activity.

The events are part of HER Outdoors Week which takes place from August 14th – 20th.

Tipperary Sports Partnership are offering a number of events to encourage participation.

Those interested in taking part are asked to register via the Eventbrite platform. The link and fees payable can be found on the TipperarySports.ie website.

Circuit training outdoors on the astro turf pitch at the Canon Hayes centre is available on Wednesday, August 16th in Tipperary town

Over four Mondays beginning on August 14th taster sessions of kayaking are provided in Clonmel on the River Suir. Clonmel is also the venue for an introduction to Mountain Biking for women on August 17th at Carey’s Castle.

On August 19th Clonmel is offering the opportunity to try Dragon Boating in Irishtown, Clonmel.

An Introduction to Aqua Aerobics at the heated Ballina Riverside Pool is available from Tuesday August 15th – the organisers say all ages are welcome.
