Almost €300,000 in funding is being allocated to 17 local agri-food tourism projects including two in county Tipperary. The funding is made available under the 2023 Rural Innovation and Development Fund through the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine.
Tipperary County Council is allocated €21,094.50 for a project known as Destination Lough Derg while the Tipperary Food Producers Network Farm visits project is awarded €25,000.
The projects will help to provide a range of experiences for visitors that will boost awareness of Tipperary food products and also generate an additional revenue stream for farmers and food producers.
