11 Co. Tipp Community Organisations Allocated A Total Fund Of €806,000

Funding of €806,000 euros is being allocated to 11 organisations in County Tipperary under the Community Services Programme 2023 Allocations – Ballingarry (Thurles) Community Development Company received the largest sum with an allocation of € 128,132.

Locally,  Tipperary Technology Park Company is allocated  € 76,066, Tipperary Mid-West Radio Co-Operative Society Limited  € 105,099, Canon Hayes Community Recreation Centre €55,033,  Cahir Developments Association   € 21,033,  Cahir Park A.F.C. (Development)  € 97,099,  Millennium Family Resource Centre Glengoole € 82,066,  Nenagh Arts Centre         €118,132,  Sliabh-Ardagh Rural Development Company  € 42,066,  New Institute Pastoral & Recreation Centre(NIPARC)  € 21,033,  and the Newport Development Association allocation is  € 60,549.50

The Community Services Programme is an initiative designed to support community-based businesses, social enterprises and organisations that provide local services and create employment opportunities for disadvantaged people.

Improvements have also been made to the supports made for managers and workers employed by organisations supported by the CSP. 

The new funding rate allocation model will see the Government support for the programme rise by more than €5 million, to almost €49 million.
