A young child has been hospitalised following an incident in Ballyporeen last night. It is understood that the boy, aged 18 months, was involved in an incident with a car on the Main Street of Ballyporeen shortly after 6pm last evening. He is received care in Cork University Hospital at present. The road will be closed this morning for a forensic inspection and diversions are in place.
