Young People For Southern Europe Visit Tipp Town Under Esamus +

Visitors from Greece and Italy are in Tipperary Town this weekend as part of a Youth Exchange programme funded under Erasmus plus.

Youth work Ireland tipperary have been programmes like this for over 10 years.

This project is led in Tipperary by the YWI Tipperary office.

The young people involved have partnered on a series of youth mobility projects, such as youth exchanges, training courses, seminars, volunteering projects, solidarity projects and job shadowing .

The participants have benefited from over one million Euro worth of Erasmus funding in that time, with the funds being spent in hotels, restaurants, cafes etc. in county Tipperary and Florina in Greece.

Kostas Filippidis the president of Association of Active Youths of Florina (OENEF) and Vasilis Giannakis Mayor of the city of Florina Head of Energy Municipalities of Greece are leading the delegation to Tipperary town this weekend,

As the final part of an international health project in which over a hundred young people have undertaken activities between Greece, Italy and Ireland looking at healthy and sustainable food practices. This weekend’s event sees 25 participants from Europe in Tipperary town.
