The Food Safety Authority has added more Kinder Chocolate products to a recall list.

The product has been linked to an outbreak of salmonella. Customers in Ireland, the UK and several other European countries have been impacted.

In Ireland so far there have been 10 cases of food poisoning linked to the chocolate, a number of which have involved young children all of whom have fully recovered.

The Irish cases have involved the same strain of Salmonella that has been detected in the UK.

The products being recalled are Kinder Mini Eggs 75g, Kinder Egg Hunt Kit 150g, Kinder Surprise 100g, and Kinder Schokobons 200g – all with best before dates between 20 April 2022 and 21 August 2022.

On Saturday, there was a recall of Kinder Surprise 20g eggs and Kinder Surprise 20g three-packs of eggs, with best before dates between 11 July 2022 and 7 October 2022.
