National Farm Safety Awareness Day.

Co Tipperary farmers are being urged to take a few minutes out of the working day to consider how safe their working conditions are.
Today is IFA National Farm Safety Awareness Day.  Its aim is to get farm families to make their farm a safer place to work.

As part of this campaign, the IFA has issued a Farm Safety Risk Assessment planner which acts as a type of checklist of safety measures that need to be considered.  It applies to the various aspects of farm work.
These planners can be downloaded from the IFA website,, or they can be obtained from local IFA offices.
30 people died in accidents on farms last in 2014.
