A €50 million development by ABP Food Group in Cahir has been officially launched by Taoiseach Enda Kenny and Jobs Minister Richard Bruton.
The redevelopment, which has created more than 150 jobs includes an extension and upgrade of the food processing facilities and the company’s by-products site.
Commenting , Minster of State at the Department of Agriculture, Tom Hayes said that while the new jobs created at the plant are to be welcomed, a large number of jobs are created indirectly across the region as a result.
