Gardaí Encourage People To Mark Their Property

Limerick City and County council in collaboration with An Garda Siochana and Abbeyfeale Community Council are arranging a “Property Marking” sessions on July 21st.

Property will be marked with the owners Eircode free of charge at the crime prevention event.

Those attending are encouraged to purchase signs for their farms and premises that indicate that property marking has been used.

The property will be marked at  Abbeyfeale GAA Club on Thursday July 21st between 10am to 1pm.

All members of the public are welcome to attend.

The marking will also enabling the Gardaí to detect, identify and return stolen property.

Suitable items for marking include hand tools, bicycles, horseboxes or trailers, lawnmowers  or chainsaws.
