Young Tipperary boy died following incident at Cork Hotel

The young Co Tipperary boy who was rushed to hospital after getting into difficulties at a swimming pool in Cork yesterday has died.
3 year-old Ronan Kennedy was on holiday at the Quality Hotel in Redbarn, Youghal with his parents and brothers
After being taken from the water and given CPR, he was taken to Cork University hospital and then transferred to Temple Street Children’s Hospital in a critical condition.
Gardai have since confirmed that he has died from his injuries.
The hotel has expressed its shock and sadness at the young boy’s death and a full investigation is underway and counselling for hotel staff and guests is being offered.
