The school transport scheme for the upcoming academic year is now taking applications. All new applications must be submitted by Friday April 26th.
New applicants include students attending primary or post primary for the first time in 2024/2025, students who did not apply for school transport in previous years or students with a new home address or attending a new school in the coming academic year.The fees for 2024/25 are unchanged from this year – €50 per primary student, €75 per post primary and a family cap of €125 in school transport fees is in place. Those needing to make a payment or enter medical card details must do so by June 7th. Full details are available on the Bus Eireann website as the company delivers the scheme on behalf of the Department of Education.
