Three Roundabouts Near Cashel Damaged Following Drivers Failure To Stay On Road

Three roundabouts near Cashel were damaged at the weekend when the driver(s) failed to stay on the road and instead drove across the grass roundabouts. Local community activist Liam Browne called out the behaviour saying drivers engaging in such behaviour put themselves and other road users at risk and could impose an unnecessary burden on the emergency services.  Mr Browne appealed to the driver to cease such behaviour and asked that friends of the driver would also caution the driver against such behaviour.

The three roundabouts are on the Clonmel road from Cashel. Mr Browne says  “Going through one, might have been accidental, but all three is just deliberate idiocy.” Mr Browne says drivers must think of the number of road accidents and fatalities in Tipperary and nationwide before engaging in such behaviour.

Thirty six people have died on Irish roads so far this year – four more than at the same period last year.
