Number Of Road Traffic Collisions Occurred Over The Weekend

Gardaí and emergency services attended a single vehicle collision at Dundrum Village, just before 8pm last night. Sunday, 18th February.

The driver of the car received medical treatment. His injuries are understood to not be life-threatening. The road has since re-opened according to Gardaí in Tipperary town.

Meanwhile a pedestrian aged in his 60s was hospitalised on Friday night after a collision involving a jeep on the Mill Road near Thurles.  The incident occurred at approximately  7.35pm. It is understood that the man suffered serious but not life threatening injuries. 

The man is now in Waterford University Hospital after first being admitted to Tipperary  University Hospital  in Clonmel.

There have been a number of road traffic collisions over the weekend including two in county Tipperary.
