A Go Fund Me campaign has been launched for Adam Kyprianou, a young man very seriously injured in a multi vehicle accident at Ballykisteen, near Tipperary town, in July 2023.

Adam, from Monard was a passenger in the car. 19-year-old Ignacy Sokoluk, Ballywalter who was also a passenger in the car died in the collision.

Adam, aged 20, sustained very serious injuries in the collision. He was initially cared for in Cork University Hospital but transferred back to University Hospital Limerick in August of last year.

He has shown improvement in his condition and spoke for the first time on Christmas day.

Adam has been accepted by the National Rehabilitation Hospital in Dublin and his transfer is now pending.

The journey to and from the Rehabilitation Hospital is a 6 hour round trip. Adam’s mother Sophia wants to be with Adam during this time to support his recovery and rehabilitation.

Adam is suffering from PTSD and amnesia and requires continual reassurance.

The Go Fund Me is to help support his mother who cannot work as she cares for Adam while he recovers and to cover the cost of home adaptations prior to Adam’s return to Tipperary.

The fund is on the Go Fund Me Platform titled “Adam’s Rehabilitation to Home”  and can be viewed at this link here.
