Uisce Éireann Issues Public Appeals To Report Leaks & Help Reduce Water Demand In Tipperary

568

Uisce Éireann is appealing to the public to report leaks and help reduce demand as water use across Tipperary reaches high levels. The company says milder temperatures replacing the freezing conditions of last week have led to a big increase in leaks and bursts across the county. Areas particularly affected include: Ardfinnan , Tipperary town, Cashel and Clonmel.

Uisce Éireann’s is appealing to customers to check for leaks in the home and carry out necessary leak repairs and also asking farmers to check their service pipes, drinking troughs and outbuildings.  Repairing leaks can help to prevent issues like reduced water pressure or water supply disruptions.  The wider public are also asked to help reduce overall demand by preventing avoidable loss of water and conserving water.
