Success For Two Tipperary Hotels In The Virgin Business Gold Medal Awards

There was success for two Tipperary Hotels in the Virgin Business Gold Medal Awards as the results were revealed at the Awards ceremony in Galway last night.

The Horse and Jockey Hotel, owned and operated by the Egan family won “Ireland’s Four Star Hotel”, sponsored by O’Driscoll’s Irish Whiskey.  Paul Hand and his front of house team at the Cashel Palace Hotel were awarded Gold as Ireland’s best Front of House Team/Team Member.


The Europe Hotel & Resort has been crowned the Supreme winner in the competition. There were also several awards for Limerick’s Adare Manor including Gold in the Five Star Resort Category and in the Favourite Place to Stay in Munster category.Now in their 34th year, the Virgin Media Business Gold Medal Awards are recognised as the leading independent awards programme for the Irish hospitality industry. Judged by industry experts, the Virgin Media Business Gold Medal Awards recognise and reward excellence in hospitality and catering operations across the island of Ireland. The awards ceremony was hosted by Anton Savage at The Galmont Hotel & Spa in Galway.
