There was good news for 8 event organisers in the Tipperary Cahir Cashel Municipal District as a total of €7,500 euros in additional funding was allocated to local events under the 2023 Festival and Events scheme.
Tipperary Music Festival is awarded €2,000, while Golden Kilfeacle Festival on the Suir receives €1,500 and Golden into Light run by Golden Tidy Towns also gets €1,500.
The other recipients are Grange Community Council €700, New Inn Festival & Spookfest €500, Newcastle First Responders €500, Duhill Singathon €400 and Kilross Tidy Towns Remembrance Garden Event €300.
The allocations were approved by Councillors at yesterday’s December Municipal District meeting.
