St Ailbe’s school in Tipperary town is to expand its facilities significantly if planning approval is granted by Tipperary County Council.
The school is seeking permission for a single storey extension to the rear of the existing school comprising 5 classrooms, a music room, a social area and expanded construction technology facilities.
Permission is also sought for an extension to the west side of the existing school for a science lab preparation area.
Some alterations to the interior of the school are also included in the development works which will assist with providing extra office space.
The planning application is submitted jointly by St Ailbes school based on Rosanna Road, Tipperary town and the Tipperary Education and Training Board.
The co-educational school has a current enrollment of 620 students.
