A GoFundMe campaign has been launched to help support a Tipperary woman as she seeks to gain custody of her 4 children from her estranged husband in Tunisia.
The fund has been established by Lisa Gleeson in aid of Elaine Ryan – both women are friends from Portroe.
Ms Ryan went with her family on a holiday to Tunisia in 2019.
Ms Ryan has since been awarded custody of the children but the authorities have not been able to secure their location.
The funds are being used to cover living expenses, legal fees, possibly the hiring of a private investigator and future housing and medical bills when the mother and 4 children all currently less than 10 years of age return to Ireland.
To date the Irish State has not provided any support to the Tipperary woman as she remains in Tunisia to secure her children.
