A major housing planning application has been lodged into the council for Thurles.
The applicant Deanscastle Developments Ltd is proposing the construction of 96 houses on Bohernamona Road on the outskirts of the town.
If given the greenlight the development would include semi-detached three and four-bedroom houses and terraced units.
It would also include the development of a new cycleway and pedestrian walkway alongside Bohernamona Road, connecting to Loughtagalla Park, creche building for 57 childcare spaces
The development is a first phase of an overall development of these lands.
The deadline for submissions in relation to the application is January 13, 2024, and the case is due to be decided by February 3 next year.
