Gardaí Impound Two Vehicles In Separate Incidents

Gardai have impounded two vehicles following two separate engagements with drivers.

Gardaí on Mountain Bike patrol in Nenagh intercepted a motorist who was illegally parked with the vehicle engine running.

It subsequently emerged that the driver had been disqualified from driving, did not have insurance and the driver also failed the roadside breath test.  This led to the driver being. arrested and a prosecution has commenced.

Garda also engaged with a vehicle that was stopped in the middle of the road blocking traffic from making progress on the road. On investigation it was established that the driver did not have insurance or motor tax, the vehicle did not have a valid NCT and one of the tyres was a worn space saver tyre. The vehicle was impounded and the driver will face court charges in the near future.
