Two issues from County Tipperary are to be considered at the Joint Oireachtas Committee on Public Petitions and the Ombudsmen.
Representative of the Health Service Executive (HSE) are to attend to resume discussions on three petitions regarding the HSE’s Closure of Vital Health Services in counties Galway, Cork and Tipperary – specifically St Brigid’s community hospital in Carrick on Suir.
Committee Members are looking forward to hearing the response of the HSE and the senior executives in three regions regarding the closure of these important services according to Deputy Martin Browne, the chair of the committee.
Deputy Browne says committee members are particularly interested in hearing from the HSE how they propose to provide these services in the future.
In addition the Committee is to review a number of previous petitions including one from Mr Terence Coskeran at the Rocksprings Estate in Kilross.
This five-house development in the rural village of Kilross west of Tipperary town has faced lengthy delays since submitting an application for the estate to be taken in charge by Tipperary County Council in 2016.
Mr Coskeran is the developer and a resident in the estate.
