Schools will today release the results of the Junior Cycle exams to over 70,000 students. The results will be distributed to students in schools today at a time decided by individual schools. This is the second year that all candidates have sat exams under the fully reformed Junior Cycle Curriculum covering 21 individual subjects.
Students now receive a Junior Cycle Profile of Achievement award or JCPA – this combines the exam results with outcomes from Classroom-Based Assessments, short courses and other areas of school learning. Assessment procedures were adjusted again this year to take account of disrupted learning during the pandemic.
