An event to mark International Day of Peace (IDP) is planned for Tipperary town tomorrow. The UN General Assembly has declared September 21st as a day devoted to strengthening the ideals of peace, through observing 24 hours of non-violence and cease-fire. This year’s theme is Actions for Peace: Our Ambition for the #GlobalGoals. It is a call to action that recognises individual and collective responsibility to foster peace.
Tipperary Peace Convention will recognise the day by holding an Ecumenical Service at St. Mary’s Church of Ireland, Tipperary Town on Thursday September 21st at 11:00am.
The Service will include appropriate readings, music and reflections.
All are welcome to attend the event in St Mary’s beginning at 11am tomorrow.
