One hundred patients are on trolleys at University Hospital Limerick today. 41 of the patients are in the Emergency Department area and a further 59 admitted patients in Limerick are accommodated by placing their trolley in some ward of the hospital. Tipperary University Hospital in Clonmel reports 10 patients on trolleys today.
The INMO Trolley watch report reveals that a total of 474 admitted patients are waiting for beds today. The Nursing Union continues to be concerned about the level of overcrowding during the peak of Summer.
