Irish Rail Warn of High Volume Of Passengers This Weekend

Irish Rail is warning that several train services this weekend arriving into Heuston station are sold out due to the volume of passengers travelling –  many for the All Ireland Hurling Final featuring Limerick and Kilkenny in Dublin on Sunday July 23rd throwing in at 3.30pm.

As of now the 9.45am and 10.05am non-stop service from Limerick to Dublin Heuston is sold out as are some return services such as the 6.50pm and 7.20pm non-stop Heuston to Limerick services. A similar report comes from Kilkenny with the 9.00am and 10 am departures to Dublin sold out. The high demand will also effect availability of seats for passengers travelling from Limerick Junction, Thurles and Templemore Stations.Irish Rail is reporting a high demand for tickets on the Cork to Heuston line also for Sunday July 23rd and there are some alterations to the times and stations served. All passengers intending to travel on Sunday are advised to check the timetable for Sunday and to purchase tickets in advance of travelling.
