Uisce Eireann Is To Make Water Tankers Available At 6 Locations For Burncourt Ballylooby Area Consumers

Uisce Eireann is to make water tankers available at 6 locations for consumers in the Burncourt Ballylooby area from 1pm Tuesday, July 11th until 1pm Wednesday July 12th.

A Boil Before Use Water Notice was issued for the Burncourt Ballylooby Public Water Scheme yesterday as the water treatment plant is unable to process the raw water to the required standards due to turbidity or higher particle content in the water than is acceptable.

The tankers will be located at the Old BMW garage on the Mitchelstown road in Cahir, at Ballylooby Community Hall, at Clogheen Church, at Skeheenarinky School, Burncourt Church and Ballylooby Church.

Uisce Eireann says there will be some outages over the next 24 hours and this is why the tankers to supply water are being put in place.  Repair works are due to be completed by 7pm this evening. Both the Ardfinnan and Burncourt Ballylooby Public Water Supplies are expected to remain subject to the Boil Before Use notice for several days. In total at present there are 14,970 people in South Tipperary  supplied with water subject to Boil Before Use Notices.
