Euromillions Ticket Worth €500K Sold In Thurles

A ticket purchased on Friday (June 23) in Lidl, Thurles has won €500,000 in the EuroMillions Plus Draw held on Friday night.   The winning numbers in last night’s EuroMillions Plus draw were: 16, 17, 21, 26, 31.  The winning ticket was a Quick Pick ticket.

A similar sum was won by a ticket purchased at the Corrib Oil Fuel Station in Brackernagh, Ballinasloe County Galway.  

There was also success for a ticket purchased in Wicklow at The Gem on Quinsborough Road in Bray on the day of the draw.  The main draw saw a Wicklow player match five numbers and one lucky star to win a massive €318,087.  

The winning numbers in Friday’s (23rd June) EuroMillions draw were: 01, 03, 11, 33, 46 and lucky stars 10, 11.

Bonnie Chen, owner of The Gem, was thrilled to get the good news saying “We’re a busy shop here on Quinsborough Road with lots of locals coming into us regularly as well as people passing through the town. Ms Chen took over the shop in 2019 says this is their biggest prize to date. The store has 7 employees and Ms Chen says  the staff will be delighted to hear the news and hopes the winner checks their ticket soon to see how much it’s actually worth.

 Overall there was no winner of the €17 million jackpot on offer meaning Tuesday’s jackpot is now set to roll towards an estimated €25 million.
