Work Supply Disruption Likely In Parts Of Cashel Today

293

Uisce Eireann is advising of works in Cashel today as part of the National Leakage Reduction Programme.

Customers in the Dean Ryan Terrace and surrounding areas will have supply disruptions as repairs to mains pipes are completed.

It is expected that the work will be completed by 3pm today and that it will take a further 2 – 3 hours for supply to fully return.

A traffic management plan will be in place for the duration of the works.

As water supplies continue to be under pressure due to high demand and low rainfall Uisce Eireann says night time restrictions on water supply will be put in in place in Rosegreen and surrounding areas until June 16th at least.   The night-time water restrictions will take place each evening from 8pm until 8am from Monday, 12 June until Friday, 16 June to help reservoir levels recover.

In addition to restrictions at Rosegreen, customers located at higher elevations of the network in Cashel town will experience reduced pressure and/or intermittent supply. This is due to low reservoir levels as a result of the high demand for water.

Uisce Eireann is providing 4 tankers for the public to collect water – these are located at Dansies Shop Carpark, Rosegreen, close to the Tipperary Raceway, Rosegreen, at the Rockview Housing Estate, Deerpark Road, Cashel and at the entrance to Greenfields Housing Estate

Communities across Tipperary are urged to be mindful of their water usage and to report any leaks in the public water network by contacting Uisce Eireann at 1800 278 278.
