The organisers of the Tipperary Music Festival are reporting a very positive response to the event.

Lead Promoter John O’Brien is expecting that the event may be a “sell out” by the time the first Concert starts on May 11th. Mr O’Brien definitely expects the Friday and Saturday nights to be sold out in advance and says the four-day programme is intended to cater to all ages.

The event is to be staged in a Marquee in the Lidl Car park, on Main Street and is attracting a large number of local sponsors such as Tipperary Co-Op, Tipperary County Council, Tipperary Credit Union, Pierse Motors, Brodeen Engineering and the Ha’Penny Place Gift store to mention a few involved to date. Sharon O’Dwyer says the committee are overwhelmed at the degree of interest in the event.

The event is expected to bring a large number of visitors to the town as tickets are being purchased in many locations outside the county. The musical line up for the event begins with Cliona Hagan and Band with special guest Louise Morrissey on May 11th and continues with The Tumbling Paddies, Abbaesque and 90s disco, and concludes on May 14th with Mike Denver and Band.
