The Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation reports a total of 655 admitted patients waiting for a hospital bed this morning, with University Hospital Limerick again the worst affected – 109 patients were waiting at UHL, the highest number so far this year – 49 admitted patients in UHL are waiting in the Emergency Department(ED) while a further 60 admitted patients are accommodated by placing their trolley in some ward of the hospital.
