Tipperary Town Gardaí will be hosting a property marking event in Hollyford Village on Thursday next, 16th February between 11am and 2pm.
The mark is made by a specially-designed machine which embosses the property item with small dots in the pattern of your Eircode.
The mark can be placed on several parts of an item and provides traceability in the event of the item being stolen and recovered.
It marks a wide variety of materials such as wood, leather, plastic, carbon fibre and metal.
Anyone wishing to have property marked on the day are asked to bring the item and their Eircode.
The machine can mark trailers, chainsaws, machinery etc. and is intended to be an anti-theft measure.
The service is provided free of charge.
