Tipperary county council’s planning portal has added submissions received to date in respect of a planning application for a 28 bedroom hotel in Cashel.

The website updates overnight – there may be more submissions yet to be processed. To date over 50 submissions have been received from the local community, public representatives, Irish Water and a wide range of the professionals in the heritage sector as well as people with connections to Cashel now living elsewhere.

The proposed development is for Moor Lane and is submitted in the name of Marymount Assets, a company based in the Virgin Islands.

The application is on land owned by the Cashel Palace Hotel. Monday Nov 28th was the deadline for submissions and the planning authority is expected to issue a decision no later than December 19th.
