Two men are to appear in Ennis District Court this morning.
The two men (aged in their 40s and 30s) were arrested as part of the investigation into the seizure of approximately €300,000 of suspected cannabis in Tipperary and Carlow on Saturday.
Garda were investigating the activities of an organised crime group operating in the Eastern Region and in County Tipperary.
This led to a vehicle being intercepted on the M7 Motorway at Lisabunny which had €100,000 of suspected cannabis in a concealed compartment in the boot – leading to both occupants being arrested.
A follow up search of vehicle at a residence on the Tullow Road in County Carlow revealed a further €200,000 of suspected cannabis located within a concealed compartment.
